BASIC SMITH OR COUNTER WEIGHTED SMITH PRESS
Either of our models: counter Weighted or Non counter Weighted Smith presses utilize this design. They both include six weight horns in the rear of the machine allowing easy access to storage of Olympic weights with no overlapping of weight sizes.
….All linear bearings are tephlon coated cylinders. We do not use the basic ball bearing linear bearings as these are subject to foreign objects getting into the bearing and destroying their function and the guide rods these run on. The tephlon linear bearing do not have this problem |

COUNTER WEIGHTED SMITH PRESS (ADJUSTABLE FROM VERTICAL TO 10 DEGREES)
This model was introduced into the market about three years ago in response to our competitors marketing a fixed angle Smith. The fixed angled Smith press at 10 degree only makes sense if you are using it only for squats. It makes no sense if you are using it for other uses such as bench press, military press, or any other lift that is vertical.
Rather than recommend to our customer the purchase of two Smith Presses (one vertical and the other angles) we designed the unit to the left.
The adjustment in angle accomplished with a simple selector pin and three holes in the base of the frame. The standard holding the guide rods are moved into the desired position and locked in place by simple lining up the holes in the base of the standards and the holes in the lower frame. |

This design illustrates a up graded design for the adjustable standards. It allows for a much easier selection of the desired angle. No pin to insert and more angles to select from. A hand crank tightens up the system. |
