UNILATERAL FREE FLOATING MULTI PRESS: The above machine is equipped with FREE FLOATING LEVER ARMS. The user can determine the angle of push in both the horizontal and vertical planes. This allow that user to perform an incline press, regular bench press, and decline press, by simply changing the angle of push. Down and foreword result in decline press. Foreword and horizontal results in the standard bench press. While foreword and up results in an incline press. This machine is equipped with an adjustable seat and back rest as well as an adjustable height assembly at the lever arm pivot points. The adjustable seat allows the user to determine the ideal vertical position of the body in order to best isolate the desired angle of push through the chest during the extension. The adjustable back pad allow the selection of the ideal pre-stretch the user will us. Adjustment of the height of the pivot point will allow the user to achieve the desired angle of push. As the user pushes foreword while performing and of the above exercises, he or she can cause the arms to pivot towards the midline of the body (converging). Unlike other converging machines, here the machine does not dictate the movement path. Once again, the user must determine this and cause it to happen. This action adds to the training effect that the support muscles of the shoulder receive. The overall effect of this FREE FLOATING LEVER ARM SYSTEM is a training effect very similar to that achieved with free weights. In fact, I would argue that the training effect is superior to free weights as no matter what angles the user is pushing through the lever arms are attached to the weight stack which is moving vertically. This is not the case with free weight as much of the movement is not vertical and therefore the effect of gravity is lost and not resistance is applied to the target muscle(s). The pics below illustrate the three basic exercises that we have |

UNILATERAL FREE FLOATING ARM INCLINE SHOULDER PRESS: Start and finish positions, illustrating the converging range of motion of the lever arms. The user starts with a wide grip that can easily be determined by the user based on his or her body size. The push is foreword and angled up while at the same time converging towards the midline of the body. Note that the range of motion is tremendous, allowing the hand to cross. |

UNILATERAL FREE FLOATING LEVER ARM BENCH PRESS Start and finish positions, once again illustrating the converging range of motion of the lever arms. As can be seen, this particular machine can provide the user with the choice of three basic chest press movements. In a larger club this would create a bottle neck and additional machines can be purchased. |

UNILATERAL FREE FLOATING LEVER ARM DECLINE CHEST PRESS Start and finish positions, illustrating the converging range of motion of the lever arms. This machine is equipped with an adjustable pivot assembly. This should be raised and the seat lowered to achieve an optimal angle of push such as to isolate the lower chest. |

UNILATERAL FREE FLOATING LEVER ARM SEATED SHOULDER PRESS This machine illustrates the option of a "TWO WEIGHT STACK UNILATERAL FFLA UPPER BODY MACHINE". This is a true unilateral machine with each arm having its own weight stack to work with.
